About Vasectomy

Vasectomy is a gentle, quick, and effective method of family planning.

Men choose vasectomy because they want to be in control of the number of children that they have. Maybe we want two children, and then to give each of those children the best upbringing and education we can provide. Maybe we want four children, and we feel that we can raise these children in a happy home. Maybe we want more or maybe we want fewer. Whatever number you choose, vasectomy allows you to decide and then to maintain that decision. Vasectomy gives you control.

Vasectomy is gentle and quick. A typical vasectomy takes about 20 minutes on the procedure table.

Vasectomy is permanent. This is a key point. Once you make the decision and have your vasectomy, the method lasts for the rest of your life.

Vasectomy does not change sexual performance. With the modern vasectomy, the only thing the doctor changes are the tiny tubes that carry the sperm. You still produce the same amount of testosterone (the male hormone), and the same amount of semen (the liquid ejaculate). The only difference is that you don’t have to worry about more children.
